"The Kings of the Beach"

Legendary Team of Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos King of the Beach CBVA Hall of Fame

This Friday, November 17th the California Beach Volleyball ("CBVA") Hall of Fame will honor the class of 2017 and the legendary team of Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos at the Beach Volleyball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.  Smith and Stoklos were a big part of some of beach volleyball's greatest rallies ever  and are the winningest team of all time.  The pair won over 50% of the Opens they entered together and were in the top three 80% of the time.  No team will ever surpass such greatness, and both legends together are true "Kings of the Beach".

The class of 2017 includes John Vallely, Rose Duncan, Gail Castro Malone and announcer Paul Sunderland. All have made great contributions to our sport.

There will also be a special memorial dedication for the amazing Mike Bright.

Olympic Gold Medalist and AVP stars Phil Dalhausser and Manhattan Beach Open winner Emily Day will be on hand to present the awards to the top ranked CBVA players from each rating class and the CBVA Cal Cup Youth State Champions.

Museum doors open at 5:00pm and the ceremony starts at 7:00pm in the theater followed by a social gathering in the adjacent Hall of Fame center around 8:30pm. Food and beverages available for purchase.

This will be an amazing event with lots of great stories and plenty of laughs. Fans and players from all generations are invited to attend and enjoy this volleyball reunion.
