Derek Bradford

Derek Bradford is a promising young athlete whose natural ability and athletic lineage have shaped his journey in the sport. A native competitor with a deep love for volleyball, Bradford began playing in high school, where his skill and drive quickly stood out despite only having a year and a half of formal experience. He went on to join the University of Hawai‘i men’s volleyball program, redshirting his first season while training among one of the most competitive collegiate environments in the country.

Volleyball runs in Bradford’s blood — his father, Lee Bradford, was a middle blocker at Pepperdine University, and his mother, Sara, played basketball at Fordham University. His athletic family also includes two sisters and a brother, with his oldest sister, Carissa, having competed in collegiate volleyball at Pacific, Tennessee, and South Alabama. With a strong foundation, diverse athletic background, and a growing presence on the beach scene, Derek Bradford continues to develop into one of the sport’s most exciting young prospects.
